With 30 years experience in high and sometimes low performing teams, trust me when I say “I’ve been there or seen it.”
Raised on a 1200 acre farm, a strong work ethic was instilled in me from an early age. It was a way of life I applied to my sporting and work pursuits.
Outworking everyone else served me well to realise sporting dreams, job promotions and achievements until it reached a tipping point in 2006 when I burnt out.
The way I was working was no longer scalable or sustainable. Something had to change…
It’s kind of ironic I was drawn to changing careers to specialise in looking at the world through a productivity lens. There’s no better feeling than helping others avoid making similar mistakes while achieving their results in less time!
I didn’t go to University because I couldn’t wait to begin working. However, I’ve invested heavily in professional development.
I’m familiar with lots of different theories of practice, yet my style blends pragmatic advice that makes sense. That means I’ve either studied it, seen it or learnt by screwing it up previously!
Away from work I’m married with 3 children. A sporting family is the best way to describe us as we love basketball, football, a healthy lifestyle, boating and wakeboarding (my wife Sam isn’t too keen on boating but maybe she’ll eventually warm to it…)
